Who can join the Magistrates' Association?

There are three types of membership available:

Ordinary - This is open to present and past Justices of the Peace.   Please note that newly appointed JPs will receive an application form automatically from the Association. Ordinary members receive 10 issues of the Magistrate magazine per year, have access to the members' section of the website, the online discussion forum and can attend and vote at the AGM and local branch meetings.

Associate - This membership is open to certain categories of people who are closely associated with the  administration of justice e.g. clerks of the court, probation officers etc. Associate members receive 10 issues of the Magistrate magazine per year, have access to the members' section of the website, the online discussion forum and can attend but not vote at the AGM and local branch meetings.

Subscriber - This membership is available to any person who does not fall within the above categories and entitles the subscriber to receive the Magistrate magazine.
